DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is a hormone that decreases
dramatically as a person ages. According to Etienne-Emile Baulieu, French
researcher at the College De France, you only have 10 percent of the DHEA at
the age of 75 that you had at the age of 25. In a research study he has been
giving elderly people low doses of synthetic DHEA as an anti-aging agent.
There has been evidence that DHEA may improve brain function, help the immune
system, decrease memory loss, reduce muscle fatigue and bone fragility, and
may also help block cancer!
The mineral chromium promotes rises in this anti-aging
hormone. If you are age 20 or older, you have almost a 100 percent chance of
lacking sufficient levels of chromium. You are thereby possibly aging much
faster than necessary! You should take a chromium supplement daily of 200
micrograms to help stop accelerated aging. The supplement should ideally be an
organic "biologically active" form of chromium, such as chromium
nicotinate, for easier absorption and utilization by your body's
metabolism. If it is inorganic, your body must first convert it to an active
form before it can do any good. Since some people do not do this well, it is
better to use the organic form.
